UAE Nationals

As the largest Higher Education institution in the United Arab Emirates, the mandate of our programs is to prepare UAE National students for careers that will allow them to positively contribute to the development of their country. As part of this commitment to Emiratization, the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) looks to attract qualified UAE Nationals for Faculty and Non-Faculty positions across our network of colleges. Many of our Emirati employees are alumni from one of HCT’s 16 colleges and are seen as role models to inspire the next generation of leaders. We offer UAE National employees challenging careers, filled with opportunities for personal development, continuing education, and career growth.

Emiratization Events

Throughout the year, various groups within the HCT participate in Emiratization events. Careers UAE, an annual recruitment event held in Dubai, is a valuable opportunity for us to network with job seekers and focus our resources on employing Emiratis at our colleges.

HCT’s Emiratization Process

An Emiratization Committee is involved during the recruitment of all UAE National candidates in order to ensure that qualified Emiratis are considered for vacancies. Certain administrative positions within our Colleges have been designated for UAE Nationals only in an attempt to boost UAE National employment rates. These vacancies are noted by the presence of a UAE flag next to the job postings on the HCT Recruitment website. Strategies are also in place to fill Leadership and Faculty vacancies specifically with UAE National candidates.

Professional Development for UAE National Employees

An Emiratization Faculty program has been introduced at each of HCT’s colleges which allocates designated Faculty positions for UAE Nationals. This program allows UAE National teachers to build a solid platform of teaching skills and experience while they work to further their academic qualifications.

To encourage professional development opportunities for our employees, the HCT is proud to offer Tuition Assistance or Study Leave to eligible UAE National employees so they can further their education at any accredited university.

Applying for Current Vacancies

If you are a UAE National seeking employment at the Higher Colleges of Technology you can search for openings by clicking on the Current Vacancies tab located within the left banner of the page. In order to apply for a vacancy, you will need to create a candidate profile online, ensuring all mandatory sections are complete. Once your candidate profile has been completed, you may apply to any vacancies listed on our website.

After you have applied online for a vacancy, your application will be assessed by the Emiratization Committee and the results will be sent to you via email. If you are successful through this initial Emiratization screening stage, your application will be assigned to the talent pool of applicants awaiting interview.
