Position Summary

 This position provides strategic vision and leadership to support and facilitate academic faculty and divisions to adjust, design and develop educational courses and programs to ensure alignment with the university’s strategic educational objectives. To evaluate and define design methodologies, pedagogical approaches, and innovative technologies to produce learning content/courses that meet international standards.

Requirements

•A minimum of a master’s degree preferably in instructional design, educational technology, or related fields.
•10 years relevant experience including 3 years of managerial experience.
•Experience leading/managing instructional design teams in higher education.
•Experience designing and delivering academic courses and faculty professional development.
•Teaching experience in higher education, preferably in online & blended environments
•Skill building content within a content/learning management system required.
•Experience developing and providing a team based, collaborative instructor training program on applied vocational and/or bachelor programs.
•Experience connecting regulatory requirements and industry requirements into educational programs servicing our students: encouraging progress, graduation and employability as well as increasing motivation, and group learning
•Experience in design and development of competency-based curriculum and assessment.
•Complex project management conceptual and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple, demanding projects simultaneously.
•Strong knowledge and the ability to apply research-based instructional systems design including needs and task analysis, pedagogical theory, assessment strategies, and best practices for the development of applied science courses and program
