Position Summary

The Senior Manager - Institutional Research is responsible for designing, establishing, maintaining, and coordinating HCT’s institutional research activities including collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting of institutional data regarding institutional effectiveness and assessment, and survey administration.

 

  • Develop, implement and document procedures, tools and techniques for efficient and timely qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and interpretation.
  • Guide the efficient implementation of all phases of research and evaluation studies to gather and maintain institutional data (e.g. on market trends, sector demands, student information, etc.).
  • Oversee the efficient and timely gathering of data on students, faculty, educational programs, and administrative and support services so as to provide accurate information to support planning and decision making activities within the educational institution.
  • Monitor and coordinate with relevant functions and campuses across HCT to gather data related to the financial status of the institution. Develop reports to support in determining and allocating funds for internal programmes.
  • Develop and maintain reliable, updated and valid databases, spreadsheets, and statistical programmes including detailed qualitative and quantitative data and relevant analyses specific to HCT.
  • Lead the maintenance and update of a database of degrees granted across HCT compiling data (e.g. discipline or area of study, gender, nationality, age, etc.).
  • Identify and report the percentage of attraction, retention and graduation of students from each educational programme or field of study offered by HCT.
  • Develop and design surveys to gather student feedback on HCT's services and education. Analyse, report and make recommendations based on consolidated results.
  • Manage the design, compilation and development of HCT's "fact book" presenting general information and data about HCT including but not limited to academic programmes, students, degrees conferred, facilities, etc.
  • Support in preparing, developing relevant reports and following up on the accreditation and awarding processes.
  • Monitor data integrity and continuously assess and recommend opportunities to improve data and research quality.
Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Research Administration.

Full English and Arabic proficiency are required

Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office

Minimum of eight years of work experience in Institutional Research or relevant field with at least two years of experience in a managerial role
