Position Summary

The Sports Coordinator oversees daily operations of the college's sports complex and is responsible for the planning and management of all curricular and extra-curricular sports related activities. Leading a team of support staff, the incumbent ensures the development and implementation of sports complex programs and activities designed to enhance the student experience and encourage an active student body. The Coordinator works closely with the Facilities department in order to ensure that the facility and equipment is properly maintained.

 

Requirements

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education or other relevant discipline is required
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable
  • A first aid qualification is desirable
  • A minimum 5 years of experience working within a physical education, sports facility management or coaching role, preferably within a tertiary institution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
  • Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Previous experience working with UAE National students is desirable
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic may be required at some colleges
