Position Summary

Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in the Arabic program. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions.

 

Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience. To be considered for an adjunct position, candidates must reside in the UAE and be able to provide the HCT with a 'no objection certificate' (referred to as an NOC letter) from your visa sponsor. Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester basis and teaching hours can vary to a maximum of 12 hours per week.

Requirements

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

 

  • A Master's Degree in Arabic Language (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3 years of Arabic language teaching/training experience in a secondary school environment or higher
  • Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
  • Experience with Applied Arabic Communication and the use of Arabic in mass communication media
  • Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards
  • Native Arabic fluency is essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
