The Senior Researcher – Digital Transformation is responsible to establish the new Digital Transformation applied research and development activities in the IESC. He/She needs to be highly motivated candidate to expand his research and knowledge in the field of digital transformation. Support in building strong collaboration with industrial partners, propose and develop Digital Transformation solutions to industry partners, establish links and create partnership with local universities, collaborate with faculties, support students’ startups initiatives. He/she will have high level experience in Digital Transformation technologies in utilizing eg. IOT, Blockchain and AI within industry and research organizations.

 Qualifications

• Preferably a PhD degree in digital transformation – IOT, AI and Blockchain.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized university,
• Full English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) required. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage with extensive industrial applied research activities.
• Advanced skills in programming software used in digital transformation projects utilizing IOT, blockchain and AI.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-year industrial experience in digital transformation utilizing IOT and AI, and preferably having experience in blockchain technologies
• Preferably having working experience in one of the blockchain protocols.
• Demonstrated an ability to lead development of digital transformation product initiatives from concept to production.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a leader and mentor of a work team
• Previous experience in researching and developing digital transformation products and solutions for industrial applications.
• Candidates with research (within academic or research center) and industrial experience will be preferred.
