The Facilities Assistant provides timely administrative and logistical support to management and plays a key role in daily facilities operations. This includes stock-control, inventory management and the safe and secure operation and maintenance of all equipment, furniture and facilities based assets. This position also oversees the ordering of stationery stock and supplies. The incumbent interacts with internal staff, contract cleaners and other contractors as required.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• Completion of a 1 year post-secondary program (e.g. - Diploma/Certificate) is required, with a 2 year Higher Diploma seen as desirable
• A technical diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added advantage
• A minimum 2 years related work experience, with demonstrated technical and mechanical abilities
• Familiarity with operating various forms of office equipment
• Competency in the use of software programs including MS Office Suite and Auto CAD
• Knowledge of Fire and Safety systems and equipment
• Ability to communicate and build good relationships with internal staff and external contractors
• Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment and to effectively cope with pressure within a busy and demanding environment
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills are required
• The ability to work independently and make routine procedural decisions
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
• Must be able to actively participate in physical work as required
• Able to work irregular hours and on weekends
• Valid UAE Driving License
