The IT Help Desk provides timely front line IT support to end users within the college. The IT Help Desk logs calls at the IT Service Desk. With a strong emphasis on customer service, the incumbent follows up with technical staff and end users to ensure that IT issues are resolved in a timely fashion. The IT Help Desk provides IT Services support for college. This position act as IT Services Asset Custodian.

 In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

•  Minimum Diploma degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
• Certification or training in Customer Services and ITIL are preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of progressive work experience in a relevant role
• Strong customer service skills, coupled with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy
• Troubleshooting experience with various forms of computers and other PC peripherals such as printers and AV equipment
• Competency in use of software programs including MS Office Suite
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Well-developed organizational skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment and to cope with pressure in a positive manner while working to deadlines within a busy and demanding environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
