The Manager Government Relations provides leadership and professional expertise in liaising and communicating HCT's plans and reports to government agencies, ministries and departments. This position will maintain ongoing government alliances in order to ensure the delivery of coordinated communications to the appropriate government agencies. Assists in developing an overall government relations strategy and monitors its implementation and effectiveness. This position is also responsible for all visa and security matters pertaining to employment.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• A Master's degree in a relevant discipline
• A minimum of 10 years of related work experience dealing with government entities with at least 5 years spent in a supervisory/leadership role demonstrating progressive responsibility
• Demonstrated management experience in the policy arena; proven manager of public policy process in a complex environment
• A high degree of computer literacy
• Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in budget planning and implementation
• Strong management or leadership skills as exhibited by experience in effectively leading a team and/or chairing committees
• Superior interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to form professional relationships at all levels the organization and with appropriate external stakeholders
• Previous experience working in a higher education institution is preferred
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is essential. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
