Position Summary

The Senior Officer – Faculty Operations supports the effective coordination, analysis, and continuous improvement of core operational activities across the faculty lifecycle. This includes faculty workload tracking, internal transfers, adjunct and visiting faculty appointments, and qualification verification. The role ensures data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and policy compliance through evidence-based practices and cross-functional collaboration. It contributes to institutional effectiveness by generating insights that support academic planning, operational reporting, and faculty readiness.

Main Responsibilities

  • Track and validate faculty workload data to ensure alignment with teaching assignments, academic calendars, and institutional norms.
  • Act as a first point of contact for faculty inquiries, managing communications and escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on faculty lifecycle data to support decision-making and reporting needs
  • Coordinate documentation and processing of internal faculty transfers, secondments, and appointment changes.
  • Support onboarding workflows for adjunct and visiting faculty, ensuring timely and accurate entry of records in institutional systems.
  • Support governance and process improvement projects, such as updating faculty governance frameworks or operational workflows.
  • Manage internal faculty communications rolling out process updates, consultations, and collecting feedback
  • Monitor academic qualifications, credential equivalency, and faculty ranking documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and update faculty operations documentation and central repositories for easy access and consistency
  • Liaise with departments, committees, and service units (e.g. HR, Finance, Facilities) to align faculty operational needs
  • Monitor compliance with policies, risk management, and health & safety in faculty operations, escalating issues when needed

 

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field is required e.g. Education, Business Administration, Data Science, or HR Management
•Preferred certifications in operations management, data governance, data analytics or MS Advanced tools are desirable.
•Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.
•Advanced computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office, Data Analytics, Power BI,
