As the lead member of the of the Initiative Management unit under the department of Strategy, Future and Institutional Performance at HCT, the Associate Director- Strategic Programs is responsible for assisting in developing, advancing, and communicating the Strategic plans of HCT while ensuring that initiatives are developed to meet the required strategic outcomes. This cross functional role is key in advising the implementation of HCT’s system-wide strategy in collaboration with academic and administrative leaders. The Associate Director – Strategic Programs will oversee the Initiative’s Management function and the portfolio of initiatives/ projects it managers. He/she will assist in department level planning, training, management as well as planning, executing and finalizing projects with deadlines and budget as required. . He/she will play a key role in defining department policies and procedures and identifying efficiencies in all process and operational matters.

•Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required- e.g. Business. •A Masters degree in a related filed is preferred •Full English proficiency is required. •Very high levels of written English for formal reporting required •Advanced computer literacy is required- e.g. MS Office, MS Project, and other project management reporting tools •Minimum of 10 years senior management experience in strategic planning and/or program/portfolio management function, preferably in a higher education setting •Experience of engagement and interaction with top-tier consulting companies to support internal project/initiative delivery. •Ability to visualize and plan objectives/goals strategically. •Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a large team of staff •Prior experience in working internationally in a similar role is advantageous.
