Position Summary

Job Objective:

The Assistant Manager - Marketing is responsible to promote HCT within its local community with the aim to attract more students and better position HCT in the local market in coordination with Central Services.

Main Responsibilities:

Think beyond short term objectives to consider the broader vision and strategic goals of HCT.

Support in cascading the overall functional strategy into operational goals.

Facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives by allocating resources and focusing the efforts of the team.

Identify and share alternative and innovative ways to facilitate best practices and approaches in order to protect and restore HCT’s resources and business continuation in times of any major change/crisis.

Identify and share best practices and improvement methods and procedures for processes which can be implemented in the department or system-wide.

Research and identify advertising and marketing agencies to promote HCT activities and events through various marketing channels (billboards, leaflets, flyers).

Operational Role

Implement on the campus, Central Services Communication Department’s policies, procedures, initiatives and processes related to Marketing and Communications.

Maintain quality and consistency of messages when communicating with local HCT stakeholders, based on Central Services Communication Department’s guidelines and standards.

Manage campus local marketing activities in coordination with Communications Central Services and based on campus strategic plan.

Collaborate with Event Management to promote HCT local and system-wide events through marketing and advertising.

Manage campus social media updates, in coordination with CS Communications Department, and in adherence to guidelines set by Communications Department Central Services.

Participate in HCT’s various local events (e.g. workshops, receptions, conferences) to network with representative of local organisation and build relations.

Maintain an accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date media database and provide input to Central Services Communications Department for database consolidation purposes.

Lead the identification of opportunities for local media involvement and liaise with Communications Central Services to manage media relations as and when needed.

Manage the channels used for the internal announcements, in coordination with the CS Communications Department.

Supervise all printing requirements and marketing materials and collaterals, with the approval of CS Communications Department.

Maintain and ensure quality and consistency of HCT brand in all designs, and tone of voice in all internal and external communication/marketing collaterals, by adhering to brand guidelines and directives, approved by CS Communication Department.

Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on HCT's Performance Management System.

Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Marketing, Advertising.

• Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.

• Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office, Banner, etc.

Experience:

• Minimum of five years of work experience in Marketing or any relevant field with proven ability to manage a set of processes and/or to manage teams.
