Position Summary

The Academic Support Officer provides administrative support within a specific HCT department with core responsibilities consisting of document control activities; drafting departmental correspondence; and assisting with meeting and event logistics. The incumbent may receive direction from various staff within the department and is expected to prioritize his/her workload appropriately. This position plays a key role in supporting daily activities and overall administrative requirements to ensure that the objectives and needs of all clientele are met.

 

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is required
• A minimum of 0 - 3 years of office administration experience, preferably within an educational institution
• Proficient secretarial skills (e.g. - document management, preparing various forms of correspondence, minute taking at meetings, coordinating meetings, etc.)
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
