The Graphic Designer provides graphic design and multi-media services to multiple stakeholders, producing quality designs and layouts for college brochures, web development graphics, interactive applications, multimedia objects and related support materials. The incumbent designs internally-developed media prints to commercial standards and provides graphic design support for teaching-delivery methods, including web-based learning and multimedia. This position is also responsible for producing final edited versions for college promotional videos to a professional standard. As required, the Graphic Designer may be photograph and/or film various college events.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• A Bachelor's Degree, or higher vocational qualification in Graphic Design or related discipline with an emphasis on the design of print-based materials
• A relevant post-secondary qualification (eg - certificate or diploma) may be considered for UAE Nationals with previous work experience
• A minimum 3 years of commercial experience in Graphic Design or a related area
• Superior knowledge of print, web-based and multimedia graphic design principles
• Experience in producing original graphics and audio-visual promotional material to professional standards
• Skilled in photo and video editing to a professional standard using various graphic design platforms for Mac and Windows
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Familiar with current commercial practices in design and copywriting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Well-developed organizational skills are required
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment and to cope with pressure in a positive manner while working to deadlines within a busy and demanding environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
• Knowledge of how to operate a DSLR camera is preferred
