Position Summary

The Senior Officer - Quality Improvement for Faculty of Engineering Technology and Science (FETS) is responsible for assisting the Supervisor/Executive Dean in the Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation quality management systems for the Faculty. The incumbent collects and maintains quality assurance data that aligns with the HCT Institutional Effectiveness Framework and processes to evaluate programs and services for continuous improvement in the Faculty.

Requirements

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is required
  • A minimum 3 years' of related work experience, preferably within higher education
  • Current knowledge of institutional effectiveness/QA practices, trends and issues
  • Experience in enrollment and budget planning and implementation would be advantageous
  • Skilled in the use of statistical software for data analysis and research
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Reporting Tool, Database systems such as Access, CurricuNet, SharePoint and Advanced Excel is desirable
  • Experience with data collection tools such as focus groups and surveys; well versed in survey design techniques
  • Previous experience working with databases in order to generate appropriate reports
  • A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to deal professionally with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature
  • The ability to form professional relationships at all levels within the organization and with appropriate external stakeholders
  • Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
  • A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
