The Senior Officer - Career Counseling is charged with guiding and advising students and alumni on career development and career management skills. The incumbent works closely with relevant academic departments in order to integrate career awareness into the college's academic programs. Through an effective partnership with colleagues in Work Placement, the Senior Officer - Career Counseling connects HCT students and graduates with employers in order to promote employment opportunities. The incumbent maintains an efficient and welcoming Career Center that provides a comprehensive range of resources on career-related matters.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Career Guidance or Academic Counseling, is required
• A minimum 3 years of work experience or relevant to career guidance
• Demonstrated familiarity with business practices and culture in the UAE
• A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
• Teaching experience is desirable
