Position Summary

The BI Administrator is responsible to provide technical and functional application support, solutions and administration for Business Intelligence (BI) applications and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and related interfaces. Develops and creates needed reports and dashboards. Designs and produces ad hoc reports and queries as required. Guides the users in complex data analysis and business reporting issues. Assists with production support of data warehouse applications and business intelligence dashboards. Performs troubleshooting for reported issues.

Requirements

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Data Processing, or Management Information Systems.
  • Specific professional technical training is a plus.
  • Certifications in EDW / BI technologies highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environments.
  • Relevant experience in administering Business Objects environments.
  • Current experience in developing and supporting both Business Objects Applications, Business Intelligence 3.1 platform and experience on BI 4.1 is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Business Objects Web Intelligence and dashboards.
  • Complete understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence principles.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries, Query performance tuning.
  • Other software desired includes, MS Office products, TOAD, and SQL Developer.
  • Knowledge of Banner ERP system is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with data analysis preferably with Banner.
  • Demonstrated competence in reporting and analyzing information keeping in mind attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and in a team environment.
  • Able to perform duties with minimal work direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to deal professionally with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature.
  • Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required.
  • The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment.
  • A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
