Position Summary

Human Resources Officer plays a vital role as a link between Academic Division/ College/ Directorate staff and Central Human Resources. HROs shall be responsible for providing efficient and effective Human Resources services within the assigned area of responsibility and is the main point of contact for staff on matters pertaining to employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management and training & development. HROs support and participate in recruitment, budget and position management activities. In order to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services, the incumbent communicates frequently with HR at Central Services as well as support other HROs as and when needed. HROs are also responsible to improve HR environment by providing and updating HR Central Services with HR related feedback and observation from the field.

Requirements

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is required
  • A minimum 3 years progressive HR related work experience with demonstrated competence in HR services such as; Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management and Training.
  • Computer literacy; knowledge of a HR system would be an asset
  • Current knowledge of industry practices, UAE Law, trends and issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization to deliver results
  • Highly developed organizational skills are required;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues and staff matters with high level of confidentiality
  • Continuous skills improvement and professional development in order to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred
