Position Summary

The Applications Analyst works within the IT Planning and Coordination (Enterprise Systems Support team) and plays a key role in Applications Analysis including requirement analysis, documentation, testing, training implementation and support of in-house applications and enterprise wide application suites. The incumbent provides the Implementation and Support from a business systems perspective to all concerned teams. The Applications Analyst identifies and resolves support issues for all applications and serves as a key source to provide analytical support and training on all associated applications / modules across HCT while maintaining the system integration.

This position is reserved for UAE Nationals only.

Requirements

 In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Systems is required
  • A minimum 3 years of progressive relevant work experience to include implementation and support of Banner applications like Student, HR, Finance, Procurement, Alumni and Fixed assets is desirable
  • A mastery of SQL & PLS is required.
  • Strong Analytical approach to problem solving is required.
  • Demonstrated competence in reporting, analyzing information, problem solving, attention to details, software design, software debugging, software documentation, software testing and software development process
  • Experience in documentation of Business processes and customer application requirements
  • A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology in the workplace
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
  • Highly developed organizational and problem solving skills are required
  • The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
  • A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization
