The Quality Assurance Analyst works within the Enterprise Systems Development team and tests/analyzes software components to ensure usability and applicability to the business environment and end user. The incumbent plans, designs, and executes software quality assurance and test programs and provides QA consulting services to all HCT staff.

This position is reserved for UAE Nationals only.

In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering, Management Information Systems or relevant field is required
• A Master's Degree in relevant discipline as well as professional technical training and certification is desirable
• A minimum 5 years of progressive work experience in at least three of the programming languages (PL/SQL, Java, Groovy, ASP.Net, C#, Javascript, HTML5)
• Well versed in analyzing information, problem solving, attention to detail, software design, software debugging, software documentation, software testing, software requirements, Agile Software Development Process
• Experience writing ORACLE queries, procedures, triggers, etc. is required
• Object-oriented programming skills are required
• Experience with web authoring tools like Dreamweaver or Visual Studio is required
• Experience writing web services is required
• Experience in collecting and analyzing software quality metrics is required.
• Ability to plan for performance, capacity and security for enterprise portal solutions is required
• A complete understanding of the software development lifecycle and development methodologies, the role of QA, and the ability to create effective, sustainable test strategies are required
• Some experience or interest in automated testing is preferred. Experience in software testing tools like WinRunner, LoadRunner is desirable
• Sound knowledge of web servers is required. Knowledge of applications servers preferred
• Experience with Banner XE (Ellucian's ERP) is a plus
• Familiarity with SharePoint 2010 object model as well as experience in SP2010 out of box features preferred. Ability to design and write custom modules on top of SP2010 is preferred.
• Mobile development for iOS, android, Windows 8 is highly desirable
• Prior experience with data warehousing including creating star schema data models and performing ETLs is highly desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
• Highly developed organizational skills are required
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
