Position Summary

The Receptionist provides efficient and effective operation of the switchboard at a busy reception desk. As the first point of contact for visitors, the incumbent interacts with college staff and the general public either in person or over the telephone. The Receptionist also performs general clerical duties such as filing and typing correspondence using MS Office programs.

 

Requirements
  • Completion of a 1 year post-secondary program (e.g. - Diploma/Certificate) is required, with a 2 year Higher Diploma seen as desirable
  • A minimum 2 years of related work experience, preferably within an educational institution
  • Experience with switchboard operations and secretarial services is required
  • Strong customer service skills, coupled with a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Competency in use of software programs including MS Office Suite
  • Bi-Lingual in Arabic and English both spoken and written
